Yes, it's been a while since I last posted here in my blog. Sometimes life and other responsibilities get in the way of being a full time author.
Since 2010 I've been a prolific blogger. I love sharing my travel and research stories with readers, and I love to interview other authors. But somewhere in between, I love to write books as well. As you know, they take time.
Since my last blog post, which was to celebrate the launch of an anthology with three other authors -
Abbie Jackson, Susanne Bellamy, and Elizabeth Ellen Carter - I've been busy with some other major projects.
One of my publishers (Secret Cravings Publishing) closed its doors. I had a choice then of submitting my books to another publisher, or having a go at self-publishing. Well, I chose the latter.
Self publishing was a very steep learning curve, one that I've not yet totally mastered with any confidence, but suffice to say, the first two books in my Robinhill Farm Series are now available again in both ebook and paperback forms. The third book, which was due to be released when the publisher closed, is also available. As a trio, they are stand alone books, but are linked in a nice way. Add a little bit of serendipity, some engaging and courageous characters, and the lovely setting of rural Ireland, and Robinhill Farm Series is a rich and, I like to think, wonderful series.
So wonderful, I guess, that the series has been nominated for several awards.
The Australian Romance Readers Association (ARRA) annual Awards are prestigious, and judged by reader members of the Australian public.
Finalist:
- Favourite Continuing Romance Series (Robinhill Farm)
- Favourite Contemporary Romance (Honor's Promise)
- Favourite Australian Romance Author 2015 (Noelle Clark)
How do you like them apples? I love 'em!
Winners will be announced at a gala Awards event in Sydney on March 19th.
Last year, 2015, presented me with lots of personal challenges. My experience has brought me to a decision. This year I am introducing a whole lot of new ideas. I have future books plotted out; I have several trips planned; and I am excited about being one of the authors in the runaway success that is the Bindarra Creek Romance project.
My contribution - Buckley's Chance - will be out in July 2016.
A huge thank you to all who read this. It's a catchup with a difference. I plan to get back to doing my author interviews on this blog again. But I've saved the most exciting news until last.
I've started a Book Club! It's called The First Noelle's Book Club. (Yes, I'm a Christmas baby). It's free, and all you have to do to join is click here. In return, you will receive a FREE ebook (this month it's Honor's Debt, but if you already have it, let me know and I'll choose another). Throughout the year you'll receive other free stuff. There'll be exclusive Members Only competitions with cool prizes. And there'll be more free books as well.
So sign up now. I won't spam you. Maybe once a month I'll email you an update with offers of free stuff. Here's that link again. www.noelleclark.net
Oh, and you'll notice I have a re-vamped web site! I decided that a new year needed a new look website. Let me know what you think of it.
Ciao for now. Happy Reading, and don't forget to join me in my new venture: The First Noelle's Book Club.
